Hello you all Digi2 experts.
I’m having this problem wich seems to be too hard for me to solve.
When car is started cold it idles few second at 1100-1200rpm and then start to bounce anywhere from 700 to 1500 video here http://youtu.be/UdUqCnjv4kM
(those jumps to 3000 are made by me with pedal.) And when it gets warm it start to idle quite nice around 850-900rpm video here http://youtu.be/Bx1uerO_kyc
When the engine is started warm it feels like it’s having too much gasoline for a little time after it settles and starts to run quite nice. There is a little hesitation or something while driving constant speed and about 2000-3000 rpm. It revs to 6500 easily.
Whats done so far
New CTS from VW
New ISV
Timing and idle mixture set ( it passed mot)HC was still close to fail limit
New ground from battery to tranny to coolant flange to coil boil to point where dampers are fixed.
New plugs NKG
New spark wires (bosch)
New Dizzy Cap (bosch)
New rotor
New 02 (bosch)
TB cleaned whie in car.
All electical test according to bentley passed. While that air flap movement and resistance is some how weird and not logic at all.
Both switches on TB clicks and works.
So what could make these kind of symptoms? Timing might be a little bit off.
It is quite probably an air leak, have you checked the carbon filter tank vapour system connections?
do you have a spare air flap to test if it is working correctly?
No i dont have spare air flap but the one installed work ok if i suck from vacuum hose. How should i check tha carbon filter tank? Take it off and then try it? Do you mean that it leaks from that valve where that larger diameter black hose goes and two vacuum hoses from TB?
As it all is 20 years old, I would suggest completely removing the carbon filter setup (its probably not doing very much now anyway) & block the 2 pipes that connect to the inlet manifold (do not join them together as they are on different sides of the throttle butterfly flaps, I will look over week end for the exact removal procedure for you
Q) Do you mean that it leaks from that valve where that larger diameter black hose goes and two vacuum hoses from TB? – possibly
This might also be worth a read through

When my Digi 2 car wouldn’t idle, I traced the fault to the temp sender, however replacing it with a new (VW Dealer) part made absolutely no difference,
the fault was in the wiring just before it went into the sender plug, it had work hardened & fractured & was only making an intermittent contact, causing the cold idle problems.

Yes i have noticed this and have changed that connector becouse wires were almost broken . I might try to change that wire fully from the ecu to sender, i know there is fractures along the wire cover
