hi there i was speaking to a friend today who was talking about putting bike carbs on his mini. i was wandering if anyone has put it on a vw 8v engine and how much powerincrease do you get. ive noticed on ebay they go quite cheap and the manifold would be relitivly easy to weld together. anyone no anymore about doing this?

I was considering doing this to my motor once the crossflow head is on it – this will put the carbs at the front out of the heat from the exhaust. I think I’m probably going to go injection for reliability.

Lots about running bike carbs here: http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=112703

Hold on a minute, these dont appear to be bike carburettors at all, they are only the throttle bodies as they all quote injector rates & a carb set up doesn’t have injectors!

hey diamond hell i cant get the link to work. would i need to put a diferent fuel pump in i.e. an electric one and what kind of inlet size should i be looking at. will it drink alot more fuel than a 32/34 weber and finally do they give a decent power gain.
