I have the 280mm rear brake setup on my mk2 now. Converting the car to syncro/rallye, but will i be able to run big rear brakes? These discs have the bearings built in, so i guess i will have to go Audi TT rear brakes which are vented :( unless i can find a vag disc that will bolt on

you could put 280’s on the rear but TBH i cannot see the point in doing it even with 450+bhp

it made a massive difference in the braking, and when your doing 175mph (private roads) you dont want to get any kind of brake fade. As it will be heavier with 4wd, would like to keep the 280mm setup on the rear, I have 300mm 4 pot setup on the front.

i got mine sorted now, used corrado g60 front discs 280×22 IIRC, TT calipers and custom brackets.

Should hopefully stop it, fitted it up with twin brake bias valves so can tweak the front-rear to make sure i dont skid too much!
