    Hi all,

I have installed the 022BC ECU on my 89 Golf syncro with 1P couple of months ago, and immediately I noticed the increase of hp and torque a bit. It felt like the car kept pulling all the way, unlike the 022AR ECU I had previously.

Now that it has been summer and turned the aircondition on, and the car started to vibrate like hell. I have replaced all the engine/tranny mount last year, and by having the base rpm at 900 the car sits quiet, but when the AC compressor kicks in, the rpm drops to 850-875 range and it is so bad that I can see the steering wheel vibrating almost by a 1cm!

Since idle stabilizer on my car seems to be working fine after thorough cleaning, I wonder if the 022BC ECU might not have the proper mapping of rpm compensation when the AC compressor is engaged.

Anyone can confirm on this I would much much appreciate.

The vibration makes me wonder if I should put the 022AR ECU back on…. Please HELP!!

Increase the tickover on a warmed up engine to 1000 rpm without the A/C running, this should compensate enough to allow for the rev drop when the A/C is turned on.
